Import export data pricing: how to compare a quote

Import export data pricing depends on the requested markets, dates, fields, delivery or access options and permitted use. Compare quotes using the same research brief, then confirm the sample and service terms before choosing.

Define what you are comparing

A country-total statistical dataset, a company-record search and a tailored research request are different purchases. A quotation only becomes comparable after its source scope, period and intended use are clear. TradeData does not list a single universal price for all datasets on this page.

The scope factors to put in a quote request

FactorInclude in your brief
Research taskBuyer discovery, supplier research or market comparison.
Markets and trade directionImporting country; exporting country if relevant.
ProductDescription, specification and HS code if known.
PeriodA specific date range or the latest available 12 months.
Required fieldsNamed parties, dates and other fields essential to your task.
Delivery or accessAsk which options are available and how you can use them.
Users and intended useWho needs access and what licensing or sharing terms apply.
SupportAsk whether research assistance or a demonstration is available within the proposed service.

Questions to settle before paying

  1. Does the sample match my product and market?
  2. What is included, unavailable or optional in the proposed scope?
  3. Which dates and record types are included?
  4. What access or delivery terms, user limits and usage restrictions apply?
  5. How are updates, support and any future scope changes handled?

These are questions for the quotation. They do not imply a particular subscription, API, file format, refund term or response-time guarantee. Confirm the applicable written service terms.

Use a sample to evaluate value

Inspect the actual company fields, product descriptions and dates you need. Check units and record roles before comparing record counts. A free market-statistics view is not equivalent to free company-level shipment records, and a sample request is not an automatic full-database trial.

Send one consistent brief to compare options

“I need [buyer/supplier/market] research for [product and specification], importing into [market], over [dates], with [required fields]. Please confirm the available source, sample, delivery or access options, usage terms and quote.”

TradeData checks the requested scope, shares relevant screenshots where available and discusses the service options. No numerical price or contract term has been assumed here.
